Narciso, the surprise of beauty

Contemporaneity and the outdoors. A topic interpreted today as an opportunity to enrich everyday life by dedicating oneself to the quest for a different kind of beauty. A reflection that design has been working on for some time, and has gradually stripped the outside of that distance that separates it from humans. Baxter has translated it into new accessories for living beyond the confines of the home.
The elements in the Narciso collection give body to these instances. Sofa, dormeuse and armchair: three pieces with an identity defined by sculptural lines. Their respective silhouettes, rendered vaguely irregular by the large, soft cushions that give shape to the backrests and headboard and fall softly over the armrests, are designed as much to stand out on their own as to blend in with each other and with the existing environment.
Contextualised in the Lake House, we saw them as the suggestion for an ideal setup. On the terrace, that more informal trait emerges, inviting conviviality, the pleasure of sitting amongst friends without adhering to the rules of etiquette. In the garden and by the pool, they update the concept of relaxation, be it a holiday or a short break between work commitments. “The recurring themes are cushions, large and soft, which seem to be held together by a metal ribbon, a discreet and essential presence,” explain the creative minds at Studiopepe, who designed them for Baxter.
And that metal is 316 stainless steel, a lightweight, strong soul, which embraces Narciso with its delicacy. Its light and dark grey hues harmonise with the navy blue, grey and ivory fabric upholstery, or act as a contrast to highlight them. The melange and tonal camouflage variants enrich the whole texture of movement; even leather lovers will be able to sink into the elegant comfort of the solutions developed for outdoor use. Narciso, like Narcissus in mythology, is the irresistible surprise one encounters in a reflection.
